Variations can be exported to a variety of export types. The following will cover changes made to exports since the introduction of Variations.

What can be exported with Variations?

Export HTML with Variations

To export to HTML from Carbon Editor with Variations:

  1. Navigate to the document you want to export from the Document List.
  2. Click the drop-down box next to the document and click Document Versions.

  3. Click on Create version.

  4. Enter the relevant information and click Save.

  5. Click on Export.

  6. Click Create Export.
  7. Click on HTML.

  8. Select the Variation of the document you wish to export. Hold down CTRL to select more than 1 and click Next.

  9. Select the theme you want for the given Variation. Click Preview if you want a preview of the document with the given theme applied.

  10. Click Start Export.
  11. Click Download once the export is completed.

Export Variations to Ubiquity

To export a document with Variations to Ubiquity:

  1. Navigate to the document you want to export from the Document List.
  2. Click the drop-down box next to the document and click Document Versions.

  3. Click on Create version.

  4. Enter the relevant information and click Save.

  5. Click on Export.

  6. Click Create Export.
  7. Click on Ubiquity.

  8. Select the Variations you wish to export and click Next

    You can select multiple Variations by holding CTRL.

  9. Click the theme you want to export for a variation and click Next.

  10. Select the app you want to publish to and click Next

  11. After configuring other fields for the document, click on Start Export.
