Replace content originally created in Master Variation

As a user, you may have content created in the Master Variation that you wish to change in another Variation.

  1. In the Page Editor, click the drop-down box in the top left-hand corner and change from the Master Variation to another Variation.
  2. Hover your mouse over the Field that is visible in the other Variation. The Field should look like this:
  3. Click Modify the Contents.
  4. Change the contents to whatever suits you.
  5. Click Save.

This content in Variation 2 will only apply to Variation 2. Switching back to the Master Variation won't display the changes you've made to Variation 2.



Add content from one Variation to another

As a user, you may have content in Variation 2 and want to change it in Variation 3. In this process, you completely avoid the Master Variation.

  1. Ensure you have at least 2 Variations (not including Master).
  2. Navigate to Variation 2 and ensure your content is correct.
  3. Using the drop-down box located in the top-left corner, change to Variation 3.
  4. The Page Editor will be blank, click Show Content from otherVariations.
     
  5. The content from Variation 2 will now be visible but not editable.
  6. Click the drop-down menu next to the Section. 

  7. Click Add to this Variation to add the Section to the current Variation.
  8. The Field now becomes clickable, click the drop-down next to the Field.
  9. Click Add to this Variation to add the Field to the current Variation.
  10. Edit the content.
  11. Check the content is correctly added by viewing the Preview panel.
  12. Click Save.
