4.9 Metadata schema for content used in the FPA dashboard

Metadata Schema for Pathway Content

Each piece of content used in pathways needs to have the following metadata tags recorded with the content piece to ensure that it is listed and displayed properly in the Dashboard and able to distributed within pathways.

NOTE: In this context ‘content’ refers to any item of communication that will be included in a pathway.

Adding tags to content

Metadata tags are added to content in a range of ways depending on how the content is created

  • For documents created in Carbon Editor and then published to the FPA dashboard, the metadata tags are added in Carbon Editor using the document Tags editor.

  • For documents created in the FPA dashboard by uploading PDF documents, the metadata tags are added from the details in the creation wizard.

  • For video documents created in the FPA dashboard by uploading PDF documents, the metadata tags are added from the details in the creation wizard.

  • For forms, checklists and questionnaires created in FPA dashboard, the metadata tags are added automatically as part of the creation wizard.

  • For messages, alerts and reminders created in FPA dashboard, the metadata tags are added automatically as part of the creation wizard.

Mandatory tags for all content

The following tags MUST be included in all content used in the dashboard.

Language

A two letter language code as determined by ISO 639-1

ES = Spanish
EN = English
DE = German
CS = Czech
PL = Polish
JA = Japanese
SK = Slovakian

Type

A tag that represents the type of content as determined by the customer’s own definition of content types. Some content types may have a common back-end format but will be represented in the dashboard as two different content types. For example, both PROMs and Questionnaires will have a Base Content Type of a Form but be represented in the dashboard as two different content types. See detail below of different content types.

Owner level

A tag that indicated what is the permission level of ownership of the content item within the solution. This is typically determined by the permissions level of the creator or author of the content item.

Additional metadata tags

For documents created in Carbon Editor, where it is possible to manually add custom tags to documents, the following tags can be optionally included in the content used in the dashboard.

These tags can be very helpful for searching for and locating specific content for use in rules and pathways. The following are examples of additional tags which can be added, but any tags can be added in order to match the information hierarchy used in your communications plan.
