1. Why can’t I see my Stage based rules in the Pathway Wizard

Solution:

Rules are of two types:

  1. Stage based rules

  2. Index Event rules

On creating a new pathway, the staged based rules and the index event rules are added. These are added in two different steps while creating a pathway.

New pathway steps;

Step 1: Add details - Title of the pathway, description, and the language

Step 2: Stages - You can add a number of stages here. Give a name to your stage

Step 3: Here is where you can view and add the stage based rules. You can add rules for every stage that is created and also for a non-aligned stage.

In the below screenshot, Stage 1 and stage 2 are the stages created in Step 2 for which the Stage based rules will be added in the Step 3.

2. Why can’t I see my Index Event rules in the Pathway Wizard

Solution:

  2. Index Event rules

New pathway steps;

Step 1: Add details - Title of the pathway, description, and the language

Step 2: Stages - You can add a number of stages here. Give a name to your stage

Step 3: Here is where you can view and add the stage based rules. You can add rules for every stage that is created and also for a non-aligned stage.

Step 4: Add Index Events- Add the required Index event. Index Events are primarily used as a date marker and can be considered as a form of content.

Step 5: Index Even rules- Here is where you can view and add the index event rules. You can add rules for every index event that is added for the new pathway.

In the below screenshot, Surgery and admission are the Index events added in the Step 4, for which the Index event rules will be added in Step 5.

3. Why can’t I see my rules in the Pathway Wizard

Additional rules and pathways are also Language sensitive. If you have created a pathway in English then the rules displayed will be automatically filtered for English rules. You would need to change the language filter in the menu bar of the rules list to see rules in other languages. The best practice is always to match the Pathway language with Rule language.
