When you first launch the PEP Health app, you will land on the “Let’s customise the app for you“ page. If you are self-registering, we assume you do not have a code given to you by a health organisation but still would like to use the PEP Health app. In this case, you can simply skip this step for now by clicking the “Skip” button.

Next, you will be taken through a brief onboarding (or getting started) process a splash screen lasting 3-5 seconds) and instructional screens to explain the core features of the app.If you would like to skip this step, press the “Skip” functions and give instructions.

On the instructional screens, you navigate through them by pressing the▶️button in the bottom right corner of your screen.

At the end, press the ✔️button in the bottom left right corner of your screen to proceed.

STEP 2: Select Health Topics

Please select at least 1 health topic you may be interested in on this screen to proceed.

You can always update your choices on the “Settings“ page.

Once you have selected 1 or more health topics, click on the “Save“ button at the bottom of the page to proceed.

STEP 3: Complete Registration

  • To complete your registration, provide a current email address and create a strong password that is at least 8 characters long and contains at least one uppercase and one lowercase letter and one number

  • Next, review the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy

  • Check the boxesbox to agree to the Terms & Conditions and Privacy PolicySo that your health care team can access the information you provide to them through the app, please check the box next to ‘I agree to allowing this service to track my details’

  • Click on the “Register“ button

Important Privacy Information

You can request a copy of your data anytime in your profile settings page. 

If at any time you decide that you would no longer like to share your identified data, you can put forward a “Delete my data” request in the app to remove your personal details from the database. Please note, that this will in turn disable the app, and you will no longer be able to use that account.

STEP 4: Verify Your Account (Optional but recommended)

Verification of email address is necessary to receive communication from your care team within the PEP Health app. Therefore, it is strongly recommended you verify your email address as soon as possible or when you have access to your emails.

To verify your account, please enter the verification code sent to the email address you provided during your account registration. If you can not find the code, please check your email’s spam folder. 

  • Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (iPhone X or later) or press the home button (Android or older iOS models)

  • Navigate to your email app and locate the email from your health care provider with the heading named “Your verification code

  • Copy the code and reopen PEP Health by tapping on the app icon.

  • Go to the “Settings” icon and click on the “Verify email address“ button

  • Tap in the Verification Code received by email field and enter the code

  • The verification code is valid for 24 hours only. In case the code expires, you can click on the “Re-send verification email“ button to receive a new code. Copy the code and enter it again.
