Rules are of two types:

  1. Stage based rules

  2. Index Event rules

On creating a new pathway, the staged based rules and the index event rules are added. These are added in two different steps while creating a pathway.

New pathway steps;

Step 1: Add details - Title of the pathway, description, and the language

Step 2: Stages - You can add a number of stages here. Give a name to your stage

Step 3: Here is where you can view and add the stage based rules. You can add rules for every stage that is created and also for a non-aligned stage.

Step 4: Add Index Events- Add the required Index event. Index Events are primarily used as a date marker and can be considered as a form of content.

Step 5: Index Even rules- Here is where you can view and add the index event rules. You can add rules for every index event that is added for the new pathway.

In the below screenshot, Surgery and admission are the Index events added in the Step 4, for which the Index event rules will be added in Step 5.
