There are two types of Rules:

  1. Stage based Rules

  2. Index Event Rules

When creating a new pathway, Staged based Rules are added in the following steps:

STEP 1: Add details - title of the pathway, description, and language

STEP 2: Stages - Add and name the Stages

STEP 3: Here you can view and add Stage based Rules. You can add Rules for every Stage that is created, and any non-aligned Stage.

STEP 4: Here you can add Index Events. Index Events are primarily used as a date marker and can be considered a form of content.

STEP 5: Here you can view and add the Index Event Rules. You can add Rules for every Index Event that is added to the Pathway.

In the example below, Surgery and Admission are Index Events that were added in STEP 4, which can now have Rules added to them in STEP 5.
