How to create a new document category on Ubiquity and set permissions to the category?
- 1 STEP 1: Log into the idm account
- 2 Step 2: Now click on “ForPatientApp Prod” in the screen below:
- 3 STEP 3: Click on the “Content” section
- 4 STEP 4: Click on the “Categories” to create a new category
- 5 STEP 5: Create new category
- 6 STEP 6: Fill in the category name
- 7 STEP 7: Click on the drop-down which is next to “Manage documents” for the created new category
- 8 STEP 8: Give permissions to all app users to access the documents under this category
STEP 1: Log into the idm account
Please log into your idm account to log into the ubiquity dashboard.
Once you log into your idm account, go to Applications>Ubiquity Dashboard. This would take you to the ubiquity dashboard.
Step 2: Now click on “ForPatientApp Prod” in the screen below:
This would take you to the ubiquity dashboard of prod app where all the content of the prod app are present.
STEP 3: Click on the “Content” section
On clicking this, you would be able to see all the content(documents and videos) which belongs to the prod app.
STEP 4: Click on the “Categories” to create a new category
You can click on the “Categories” section present on the left hand side of the dashboard to create and view all the categories.
STEP 5: Create new category
You can create new category by clicking on the button “Add Category” button as shown in the image.
STEP 6: Fill in the category name
Add in the necessary category name, icon and image. Click on “ADD” option.
On clicking the “Add” button, the category will be present in the categories list.
STEP 7: Click on the drop-down which is next to “Manage documents” for the created new category
Here “category name” is the newly created document
To add the documents in this category, click on the “Manage documents” and dd the documents for the category.
To set the right permissions click on the drop-down present next to the “Manage documents”. Select “Manage Permissions”.
STEP 8: Give permissions to all app users to access the documents under this category
By default, the access type will be “Only allow selected app users to access all documents in this category”. This should be changed to “Allow all app users to access all documents in this category”. After which, click on the “Save Changes” button.
Doing this, the document title will be shown for all the app users. Otherwise, the document title won’t be seen on the app and just the doc icon would be displayed. Clicking on the doc icon, would throw an error. To prevent this, it is necessary to set the right permission for the category.
