Page Sections

What are Page Sections?
Page Sections are logically arranged groups of Fields.
Example
A company uses Carbon Editor to produce their monthly newsletter.
Their newsletter articles use a consistent structure: a Hero section, followed by a Body section, and a Conclusion section.
The Space Admin configures each of these sections.
The Hero section contains a Heading text Field, a Byline text Field, a Hero Image image Field, and an Introduction Paragraph text Field.
Rather than individually add all of these Fields to the page, the Editor working on a newsletter article is able to simply add the Hero Page Section to the page.
Page Sections are configured by a Space Admin user. For more information, see Space Administration - Page Sections.
Each Field on a page must sit within a Page Section. Aside from the standard Fields that are included within a Page Section as per its configuration, Fields can also be added to, moved within, or deleted from a Page Section.

In the Page Editor, Page Sections are represented as a standalone block, with a white background. The Page Section's name is listed at the top of the block.
Adding a Page Section to a Page
To add a Page Section to a page:
- Click the large plus symbol button.
- Choose from the available Page Section types.
The Page Section will be added to the page. You can continue to edit the content of the Fields within the Page Section.
Moving a Page Section on a Page
To reorder a Page Section on a page:
- Click the dropdown arrow next to the Page Section's name.
- Choose Move Up or Move Down.
Deleting a Page Section from a Page
Page Sections can be deleted from a page.
Deleting a Page Section will also delete all the Fields it contains. Any changes you have made to Fields' content within the Page Section will be lost.
To delete a Page Section:
- Click the dropdown arrow next to the Page Section's name.
- Choose Delete.
