Add a Cross Linking ID to a Section

Adding a Cross Linking ID to a Section allows the section to be easily identified and used with the cross-linked feature.

You don't have to assign a Cross Linking ID to Section or Fields for the Cross Linking Feature to work. A randomly generated UUID will be created for the Section or Field when a Cross Linking action is initiated if the Section or Field doesn't already contain an ID.


To add a Cross Linking ID to a Section;

  1. Search for your Document
  2. Open the Document to display the Pages
  3. Click on Edit Content to open the Page Editor
  4. If you haven't added a Section - Add a Section

  5. Once the Section is added, click the drop-down arrow to access the Section menu
  6. Click on Edit 
  7. Add a Cross Linking ID to the section
  8. Click Save


You have now added an Linking ID to a Section. You will now be able to identify and link this Section in other sections of your document. Changing the content in this Field will change the content to other areas it's cross linked to.
