Add a Cross Linking ID to a Field
Adding a Cross Linking ID to a field allows the content to be identified and used multiple times throughout your content.
You don't have to assign a Cross Linking ID to Section or Fields for the Cross Linking Feature to work. A randomly generated UUID will be created for the Section or Field when a Cross Linking action is initiated if the Section or Field doesn't already contain an ID.
To add a Cross Linking ID to a field:
- Search for your Document
- Open the Document to display the Pages
- Click on Edit Content to open the Page Editor
- If you haven't added a Section - Add a Section
- Click the + on the Section to Add a Field
- Once the Field is added, click the drop-down box on the Field to display a set of options
- Select Edit from the drop-down options
- Add an Linking ID to the Field
- Click Save
You have now added an Linking ID to a Field. You will now be able to identify and link this Field in other sections of your document. Changing the content in this Field will change the content to other areas it's cross linking to.
